Project Probably Dead
The change of government at the last elections in January of this year probably hammered home the last nail in the coffin for the Cove Bay development, at least as was conceptualized by the previous administration. In opposition up until last year the current government was lamenting that Cove Bay was doomed to the auction block and lost as a cherished location to the people of Barbados. However, just last week the new chairman of the Barbados Tourism Authority was quoted in the press suggesting that all the remaining coastline should be earmarked for tourism development. So, it sounds like the more things change the more they remain the same.
